We left some knit hats of Amara's when we brought her home that I now really wish I had. We do have the ones Samina had, and they will be a really important remembrance. (The ones that are knit by volunteers are yours to keep.)

And, for the tiny preemies, like ours, they do have very special special preemie diapers -- smaller even than the regular preemie diapers. I do have one of those as they are what Amara wore at first and it is incomprehensible to me now, when I look back at it. We also have her preemie pacifier, which is also very, very tiny. I want the girls to appreciate how small they were and the strength and spirit they showed even in their first days!

Again, I'll hope you don't need preemie clothes, but if you do, we can suggest brands that worked for us once the girls were home. It can be very tough to find clothes that are small enough to fit them and some brands that claim they are preemie are really just just intended for smaller full-term babies.

Yes, and even if you don't want the formula (or intend to use a different kind), you can donate it. The woman who does housekeeping for us was able to take ours and give it to a family at her church, which was nice.helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03911469163836611999noreply@blogger.com
